Dreadlocks & Time Management

If you are new to the dreadlock game you probably are in the dark about how long they take to make and maintain. Your probably thinking "they cant take that long they are just knotting up my hair" WRONG!. They take time, lots of factors attribute to how long they may take like hair length, hair thickness, how many dreadlocks their are, thickness of the dreadlock and how un maintained they are.

A full head of dreadlocks is an ALL DAY process. It is 6-8 hours of sitting down and letting me pull at your hair.

Half a head can take 2-4 hours again this depends on hair length thickness and the amount of dreads being done.

Maintenance can take 2-4 hours the roots are not easy to dread together! and depending on how un maintained your hair is factors in the amount of time it will take. In extreme cases it may take longer!

Please keep in mind that we are pulling on your roots and getting dreadlocks HURTS!

I recommend taking Panadol half an hour before your appointment. Most lock technicians will tell you this before an appointment they will also ask you to wash your hair before your appointment.

And please understand if your loctician is taking their time its a good thing because it means they are proud of what they do and they want to do the best job they can! And every loctician is different!

Dreadlocks are not just hair they are a form of art and those who create them are proud of what they do so please look after them!
